My mom moved from an independent living community to Evergreen Assisted Living a couple of months ago due to mild alzheimer's dementia. Brandie McCune is just amazing - she assisted with the whole transition process, and mom recently said she is so happy to be there because she now knows she needed the extra assistance. It is a wonderful community with very caring staff. Now I can go back to being mom's daughter instead of her caregiver. Debby Johanssen, the administrator, is wonderful is as well and has been very kind and responsive. Thanks Evergreen!
Shortly after losing everything in the Holiday Farm Fire in 2020, my elderly parents were fortunate to be able to move into the Evergreen Independent Living Cottages in Eugene, OR. They enjoyed their safe, little community with its own social and dining facility. As it became clear my mother needed additional help, she moved into the Evergreen Memory Care unit close by on the Evergreen campus, while Dad stayed in the cottage. He would walk over ever day to visit her, and usually he took her out for lunch and country drives. Sadly, we lost Mom late 2022. Dad remained in his cottage. He is now 92 and recently took a bad fall. He is ok but came to realize he needed more help himself. This week, at his request, we moved him into the Evergreen Assisted Living facility. He now has a nice apartment in a lovely facility with people who will keep a caring eye on him. Although I would have like him to live with me, I understand that he wants to remain near where he last had time with Mom, the love of his life for 65+ years. And as he said, he knows the staff; they are nice people and they take good care of the facilities. I was able to help him move into his apartment with full confidence that he is a part of the Evergreen Family. Knowing he is in Evergreen Assisted Living gives me peace of mind he is in a good place. A special shout out to Brandie McCune for all her help to get my Dad settled in. Jocelyn Whitfield Daughter
We just moved my Dad into Evergreen so I don't have a lot of experience with which to base my review on yet. I will say that the staff is very caring, kind and attentive and the other residents are friendly and welcoming. My Dad appreciates having meals provided and he seems to like his new apartment and the people he has met so far.
My mom is a very satisfied resident at Evergreen Senior Living. The staff is amazing and attentive. They all learned my mom's name and preferences the first week she was there. The food is great and there are fun activities to plug into every day. We can't say enough good things about the place. Highly recommend!!!
A BIG shout out to Evergreen Senior Living! We are all navigating Covid, global warming, and multiple changes happening in the world. This is challenging for everyone and I am so grateful for Evergreen who's efforts to navigate all of these things and life in general are always directed in the best interest of the residents. My mother is at Evergreen and loves where she is living. The facilities are beautiful, comfortable and make a nice home. The staff is family and are efficient, kind and dedicated. The motto of Evergreen is Goodness, Loyalty, Faith and Fun and those elements are obvious in all aspects of my mom's experience. My mom and our entire family continue to experienced the promise of a good life for her senior years and we are grateful beyond our expectations for the feeling of safety, contentment, and happiness she feels in her home. Thank you Evergreen!
