Nice place to camp for the OCF. Organized and friendly staff. Camping spots are pretty small if you have a large tented and canopy you need to pick the right spot to have enough room. The fire circle needs some work, it is small and not very active but it was nice to see the attempt for 2018

My mom (and Kate dad) have been coming to this camp for nearly my entire life. I’m 37. That’s along time
The owner and the employees have always treated her and all the other long time regulars, and there’s ALOT more than half, with the utmost respect. They have fun. They keep it clean and and very easy to access. Highly recommend

One star for being really close to the fair, otherwise really expensive and no amenities, not even a water spigot! Person at check-in was dismissive when I tried to tell her we were expecting two more. She didn't seem to care and just said, "As long as they know your campsite that's all they need." Then when they arrived they had a hard time getting in. They said we had to be there. We were at the fair. Somehow after some discussion they were granted admission. We were visited twice by the employees. Once late at night to tell us our friends had to leave because they were just visitors. We had to tell them that they had paid in full to camp. Then again in the morning to tell us what time to leave. We again, had to tell them that we had paid for the entire weekend. Some of the campsites were really just terrible: recently mowed down pricker bushes and lots of woody stems sticking out of the ground. Will definitely camp elsewhere next year!

Well run campground, very much family setting, delicious food at Sapphire Mountain grill, love the fire pit and hot showers.
Easy close walk to the fair directly across the street.

Would have given 0 stars out of 5. It was close to the fair and that is about the only good thing about it. I reserved a spot for a group of us to only show up at night and find out we have to walk around and hope to find an open spot. We arrived at nighttime and were shown a new area by one of the workers and were told that this was the only spots that were available. So we chose a spot set up and woke up the next morning only to find out the "new area" was freshly cut a week or two before and was full of poison oak plants. Needless to say the campground didn't care about it when we brought it up and of course there is no one to contact about it and you cant get a refund even a partial one. They are in it just for the money and could care less about people's safety. My girlfriend, myself and the others that camped with us spent more money buying supplies and spending money and time at the doctor's office than we did on these tickets. The fair was great but stay away from this campground there are better options.
